graded Stranraer Bed and Breakfast accommodation has a magnificent seafront
location, overlooking the coast where the ferries pass by. A five minute
drive from Stranraer Ferry Port and train station, and a six minute drive to
P&O Ferries Cairnryan.
Balyett is a late Victorian house
which enjoys a luxuriously large interior and is decorated to a high
standard in keeping with the traditional decor of this Victorian house. We
have a family connection to Lakeview Guesthouse in Stranraer, and likewise
prides itself on a high standard of guest accommodation.
There is Private off road parking for all vehicle types. Balyett now has wireless Internet access
Bedrooms - We have one Luxury Loch view family room, one Loch view double room with a king size bed, a double room overlooking the garden all en-suite and another twin room with its own private bathroom ,all our bedrooms are spacious and decorated with a tasteful mix of antique and modern furniture in keeping with this beautiful Victorian house, all bedrooms are non smoking for the comfort of our guests with views over Loch Ryan or surrounding countryside. Each room is centrally heated and equipped with colour television, hairdryer, towels shower gel, shampoo and little extras to make your stay special. All rooms have tea and coffee, and a sherry decanter for a nightcap.
Guest Lounge - Relax and admire the views at any time from our large lounge overlooking Loch Ryan with the Ferries passing by as they sail to and from Northern Ireland, or to simply watch television or a video, by the log fire that we light on colder days. Dining Room - Breakfast is served from 7.30am to 9.30am, and includes fruit juice and cereals, followed by a full cooked breakfast with toast, coffee or tea. Special diets and an early breakfast can also be catered for, by prior arrangement. We are happy to accept guests who arrive late in the evening, or in the early morning from the Stranraer or Cairnryan ferries, and we offer a pick up/drop off service for guests arriving by train, coach or ferry along with walkers doing the Southern Upland Way. Family Cabin - For families and groups who want to stay together, we can offer an alternative, staying in our family cabin; Featuring one double bed and 3 singles, shower, toilet, kitchen and seating area, the cabin with heating when required, is ideal for anything from a one night to a long term stay. There are Ducks and Horses for children to feed and guests receive a daily breakfast basket consisting of cereals, yoghurts, fresh crusty bread, tea, coffee, fruit juice and milk. ferry ports of Stranraer and
Cairnryan

their stay take a day trip to Belfast from Stranraer or Larne from
Cairnryan.
